The title is from an exhibition at the Hayward Gallery this year. Same with the other works here, the concrete shelter is a mock Hayward ( built using the same concrete layer construction).
I matched the title with the image simply because of the skin thing, the body is ultimately just a skin or outer leaf or garment we wear for a time.
But Val’s observation is just as valid.
Basically, we’re trying to get the art establishment’s back up. Just pushing a few buttons looking for the vulnerable underbelly. We’ll find it.
