Some serious imitation @ Frith Street Gallery / Fiona Tan

Showing at Frith Street Gallery, Soho til January 19th; artist Fiona Tan’s Elsewhere video installation.
( Below ) Two stills from Tan’s current Elsewhere video  installation ( 2018 ) alongside two pre-existing works ( 2014 / 17 ) from London Dada artist Michael St.Mark .. and a third compare; a still from Tan’s Ghost Dwellings series ( 2013 ) alongside one from pre-existing Spirit Sheds  series ( 2006 ),  again by Michael. St.Mark.

All “unmistakably similar” in IP lawyer parlance.

  1. For the record, neither Fiona Tan nor Frith Street gallery responded to our accusation of obvious brazen and shameless plagiarism with regards to the above compares.
    Yet in that very silence lies a subterranean admission of guilt.
