  1. I found this pic quite intriguing…
    Just me, is it?
    I’ll get my coat…

I also saw Ofili’s paintings when he was nominated for The Turner and I really like them. I thought the one with Stephen Lawrence was particularly powerful. That said, the acquisition of one of his works by The Tate did stink more than elephant dung….

  2. Ah yes yon Stuckists, they choose their name well.

” Radical international art movement for new figurative painting with ideas. Anti the pretensions of conceptual art. Anti-anti-art. The first Remodernist art group. Daubers (daubing is the new painting ”

Painting with ideas eh? Now that’s radical.

Actually there’s a good low-down on Serota’s purchase of Chris ” elephant dung” Ofili’s latest work, The Upper Room, as well as exposes about Tate trustees’ benefiting hugely and illegally from art sales to the Tate @ http://www.stuckism.com

Looking forward to the next PS dAdA revelations, very much.
