Very effective this, quite scary! A sort of ‘the weather is messing with the satelite’ look.
I can imagine sitting watching TV when the screen goes like this and then some alien appears eventually to tell us they’ve taken over our world! —–I must stop eating cheese before i go to bed, it’s putting my imagination into overdrive during the day too :))

Onscreen pixelated images of people do acquire an alien / reptilian look, you’re right,
