  1. I love the contrast between the old and the new buildings, also the statue of a man looking on is very intriguing —–is he looking on with approval or diaproval i wonder! Any idea who he is?

    • Not sure Anna; we couldnt get close enught to read the stonemason’s title due to a high wall. Obviously classical Greek in style – a bit young and long of hair to be Aristotle though I would have thought.
      The sight he (she?) is beholding appears enough to have him turning on his plinth…the mind’s eye perception behind the work.
