Work No. 957; Alien Breed

Alien Breed
Michael St.Mark 2017

Early summer Bracken fronds sprout through last year’s decaying stems to a backdrop of equally tenacious lichens. Along with the charming cockroach, bracken is one of the life forms most likely to survive another mass extinction event, as they did the previous – the one that did for the dinosaurs.

tHIRST
Portrait of a creatively dehydrated artist
Art Axis 2017

Sundry discarded empty plastic drinks bottle on bone dry woodland path; Hertfordshire

“What an ultimate art irony;  that the wealthiest artist in the world should also be about the most morally bankrupt on account of absence of any substantial personal spring of creativity having obliged him to steal from those who have the proverbial font of plenty, in order to produce the second-hand artworks that brought him that huge wealth through what is an equally corrupt art market ”
