Once upon a seabed
many millions of sun orbits ago
sand got
squeezedintostone,
and an inch a year got
lifted 2000 feet, got
worn into sand
once more.

Now high on a Welsh mountain top
forming the shore of a hearty pool where
Sheep take a dip and a sip, their
eager hoof prints stamped upon
